- Wait: do you really know what climate change is?Climate change is complex. If you elaborate too much on the complexity, people get bored or overwhelmed and stop listening. But if you simplify it too much, people are less informed and aren’t empowered on how to proceed. Good climate change communication finds a balance between complexity and simplicity.
- Eco-Anxiety is the Cherry On Top of the Climate Crisis SundaeThe APA defines eco-anxiety as “the chronic fear of environmental cataclysm that comes from observing the seemingly irrevocable impact of climate change and the associated concern for one’s future and that of next generations.” Though not yet an official illness in the DSM-5 (the manual for mental illness), the effects of eco-anxiety are nothing to be ignored.
- Know the Difference: Compostable vs Biodegradable vs Still Just TrashAs a consumer, I think it’s a great step for you to know the differences regarding compostable vs biodegradable. About the Author
Heyo! My name is Vera and I care about our planet! And I know that there are multitudes of people out there who do as well. BUT I’m also aware that, despite the many many many many ways we could all be living more sustainably, the fact of the matter is that being green isn’t exactly the path of least resistance. It takes a good amount of change (bleh who likes change?) and admittedly, endless mistakes (oops, I did it again -_- ). So let’s go on this journey together.
Here on this blog on sustainable living, my goal is to encourage small, easy habits that help our struggling Mama Earth but that also won’t get too much in the way of living your best life!
